Workshop on AI-Driven Cyber Security: Opportunities and Challenges

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Selvam College of Technology, organized a workshop on “AI-Driven Cyber Security: Opportunities and Challenges” on 1st August 2026. The workshop was conducted from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mechanical CAD Lab. The session was delivered by Mrs. S. Saranya, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&DS, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal.

The workshop was organized for II and III year students. The resource person explained the role of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing cybersecurity and mitigating cyber threats. Various opportunities, challenges, and real-world applications of AI in cybersecurity were discussed in detail. Students gained valuable knowledge about current cybersecurity trends and AI-based security techniques. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and clearing their doubts. The workshop enhanced students’ technical knowledge and encouraged them to explore the field of AI-driven cybersecurity. Overall, the event was informative, engaging, and beneficial for all the participants.
