Workshop on Natural Language Processing: From Text to Intelligence

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Selvam College of Technology, organized a workshop on “Natural Language Processing: From Text to Intelligence” on 18th July 2026. The workshop was conducted from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Civil CAD Lab. The resource person was Ms. Lavanya, Founder of Blackwins AI Thinkers, Trichy. She explained the fundamentals of Natural Language Processing and its real-world applications in Artificial Intelligence. The session covered text processing, language models, and AI-based intelligent systems. Students actively participated in the hands-on activities and interactive discussions. The workshop enhanced the participants’ knowledge of modern NLP techniques and AI technologies. It also motivated students to explore research and career opportunities in Artificial Intelligence. Overall, the workshop was highly informative, engaging, and beneficial for the II and III-year students.
