The Impact of Artificial Intelligence across Industries

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Selvam College of Technology, organized the NexusAI Association Inaugural Function and a workshop on “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence across Industries” on 11 July 2026. The programme was held from 10.00 AM to 03.30 PM at ISDTP Seminar Hall. The event was conducted with the support of IQAC and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The inauguration marked the official launch of the NexusAI Association to promote innovation, research, and industry interaction among students. The workshop was delivered by Mr.S.Hariraj, Paragavan Cyber Solutions, Bangalore. He explained the applications of AI in healthcare, manufacturing, finance, agriculture, education, cybersecurity, and other industries. The session also highlighted machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, and generative AI technologies. Students gained valuable knowledge about AI career opportunities, industry expectations, and future trends. The workshop was interactive, with students actively participating in discussions. Overall, the programme was a grand success and motivated students to explore emerging AI technologies and innovation.
