Capstone Project Workshop

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, organized a Capstone Project Workshop for Final-Year B.E. Mechanical Engineering students. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. V. Jayakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. A total of 25 students actively participated in the programme. During the workshop, students worked on their capstone projects under the guidance of the faculty coordinator. They were guided in identifying engineering problems, developing innovative design concepts, and selecting suitable materials and manufacturing processes. Students also gained hands-on experience in project planning, fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. The session emphasized teamwork, technical documentation, and effective project execution based on engineering principles. Faculty members provided continuous guidance to improve the quality, functionality, and feasibility of the projects. The workshop enhanced the students’ practical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills. Overall, the Capstone Project Workshop was highly beneficial in preparing the students for successful project completion and industry-oriented engineering practices.
