Hands-on Training on Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM)

The Department of Civil Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, organized a Hands-on Training on “Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM)” under the STORM Association on 26.09.2026 at the IT Support Lab. The programme aimed to provide students with practical exposure to Autodesk Revit and enhance their understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in modern construction practices.

Ms. S. Devaki, AP/Civil, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, served as the resource person. She provided hands-on training on the fundamentals and practical applications of Autodesk Revit for building modeling and BIM-based project development. The session introduced students to digital building modeling, architectural elements, and the effective use of Revit tools in civil engineering projects.

Students actively participated in the practical training and gained valuable experience in creating and managing building models using Autodesk Revit. The programme enhanced their technical skills, digital modeling capabilities, and awareness of BIM-based construction practices, preparing them for industry-oriented applications in Civil Engineering.
