Alumni Interaction on Modern Wind Turbine Technology: Insights & Career Perspectives
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an Alumni Interaction on “Modern Wind Turbine Technology: Insights & Career Perspectives” for II and III Year EEE students on 01.08.2026. The resource person for the programme was our Prominent Alumni, Mr. S. Prabhakaran (Batch 2010-2014), Assistant Manager, Vayona Energy Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. The programme was conducted to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of modern wind turbine technology and to familiarize them with the latest developments, industrial practices, and career opportunities in the renewable energy sector. The interaction served as a platform for students to connect with an accomplished alumnus and gain valuable insights into the expectations and demands of the wind energy industry. During the session, the resource person explained the fundamentals of modern wind turbine systems, including turbine components, working principles, power generation, control systems, and recent technological advancements in the wind energy sector. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students actively interacted with the alumnus and clarified their queries related to wind turbine technology, industrial practices, and career prospects.
