Hands on Training in PCB Design
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Spark Association organized a Hands-on Training on “PCB Design” for II, III, and IV Year EEE students on 08.08.2026 at 10.00 AM in the CLIP Laboratory. The resource person for the programme was Mr. B. Akshai, Project Associate, Surya’s MiB Enterprises, Chennai. The training programme was conducted to provide students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design and development. The session focused on the fundamentals of PCB design, schematic creation, component selection, PCB layout, routing techniques, design considerations, and the overall PCB development process. During the training, the resource person provided valuable insights into industry-standard PCB design practices, design tools. The students actively participated in the hands-on activities and gained practical exposure to designing and developing PCB layouts based on real-time engineering requirements. The resource person also highlighted the importance of PCB design skills in embedded systems, industrial automation, power electronics, and electronic product development, along with the career opportunities available in the field. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, enabling students to clarify their doubts and gain valuable technical guidance from the industry expert.
