Hands-on Training on Integrated Biomedical Equipment Assembly and Functional Testing System
The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a Clinical Excellence Series on “Hands-on Training on Integrated Biomedical Equipment Assembly and Functional Testing System” on 29.08.2026 for III-year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was designed to provide students with practical exposure to the assembly, integration, operation, and functional testing of biomedical equipment. Er.S.Depakraj, B.E., Service Engineer, Dheeran Medical Services, Salem, served as the resource person and guided the students through the practical aspects of biomedical equipment assembly and functional testing. The hands-on training enabled students to understand equipment integration, functional verification, basic troubleshooting, and the importance of systematic testing in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of medical equipment. A total of 49 students benefited from the training, gaining valuable hands-on experience and strengthening their technical competencies in biomedical instrumentation and medical equipment technology.
