Hands-on Embedded C Programming for AVR GPIO
The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a Career Building Programme on “Hands-on Embedded C Programming for AVR GPIO” on 29.08.2026 for II-year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was designed to enhance students’ programming skills and provide practical exposure to embedded system development using Embedded C and AVR microcontrollers. Mr. K. Santhosh and Mr. M. Vignesh, IV-year Electronics and Communication Engineering students at Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, served as the resource persons and guided the participants through the fundamentals of Embedded C programming, AVR microcontroller concepts, GPIO configuration, and practical hardware interfacing. The hands-on training enabled students to develop and execute programs for controlling GPIO pins and understand the practical implementation of microcontroller-based systems. The programme helped students strengthen their technical, programming, problem-solving, and hardware interfacing skills. Around 60 students developed their competencies in embedded technology and its applications in healthcare and biomedical engineering.
