Clinical Excellence Series on How to Crack the CPC Exam in Medical Coding

The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a Clinical Excellence Series on “How to Crack the CPC Exam in Medical Coding” on 19.09.2026 for III-year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was designed to create awareness about medical coding and provide students with practical guidance on the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) examination, coding concepts, and career opportunities in the healthcare industry. Ms. C. Swetha, Medical Coder, Meddrainn Healthcare, Erode, served as the resource person and guided the students through the fundamentals of medical coding, the CPC examination pattern, coding guidelines, medical terminology, and practical approaches to solving coding-related questions. The hands-on training enabled students to understand the application of medical coding principles, interpret medical documentation, identify appropriate codes, and develop effective strategies for CPC examination preparation. A total of 49 students strengthened their healthcare knowledge, analytical skills, coding awareness, and career readiness in the medical coding and healthcare domain.
