Hands-On AI in Healthcare: Exploring the Future of Smart Healthcare

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, in association with the Biomedingers Association, organized a Clinical Excellence Series on “Hands-On AI in Healthcare: Exploring the Future of Smart Healthcare” on 26.09.2026 for II Year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was designed to provide students with practical exposure to the applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and to familiarize them with emerging smart healthcare technologies. Ms. Hemapriya R, Service Engineer, SS Biomedical Innovation, Chennai, served as the resource person and guided the students through the practical aspects of AI-enabled healthcare technologies and their applications in the biomedical field. The hands-on training enabled students to understand the role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, gain awareness of the integration of AI with biomedical systems and medical technologies. A total of 60 students benefited from the training, gaining valuable exposure to the future of smart healthcare and strengthening their competencies in Artificial Intelligence and biomedical engineering.
