Capability Building Program on Advanced Medical Equipment for Better Healthcare
The Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Biomedingers Association organized a Capability Building Program titled “Advanced Medical Equipment for Better Healthcare” on 08.08.2026 for III Year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was organized to enhance students’ understanding of advanced medical equipment and their applications in modern healthcare. Ms. S. Saranya, B.E., Biomedical Engineer, Bethel Medisyz, Chennai, served as the resource person and provided students with valuable industry-oriented knowledge regarding advanced medical technologies and healthcare equipment. The session emphasized the importance of biomedical engineers in the selection, operation, application, and maintenance of sophisticated medical equipment used in healthcare settings. Students gained practical insights into the technological developments in medical equipment and their contribution to improved patient care and healthcare delivery. The programme also helped students strengthen their technical awareness and understand the professional responsibilities of biomedical engineers in hospitals and the medical technology industries. Nearly 61 students benefited from the programme, which served as an effective platform for developing their technical capabilities and connecting classroom learning with practical healthcare applications.
