Alumni Talk Series – Webinar on Inspire Students to Explore Practical Insights into Healthcare Innovation and Commercialization

The Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Biomedingers Association organized an Alumni Talk Series titled “Webinar on Inspire Students to Explore Practical Insights into Healthcare Innovation and Commercialization” on 08.08.2026 for III Year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was conducted to provide students with practical insights into healthcare innovation, medical technology, and the commercialization of biomedical products. Er. G. Soundarrajan, B.E., Sales & Service Engineer, Alliance Biomedica, Chennai, served as the resource person and shared valuable perspectives on the practical aspects of biomedical engineering in the healthcare industry. The session helped students understand the connection between biomedical engineering knowledge and real-world healthcare applications, particularly in the areas of medical equipment, industry practices, innovation, and technology commercialization. Around 49 students gained valuable insights into healthcare innovation and commercialization, explored professional opportunities, and developed a better understanding of the importance of technical, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills for a successful career in the biomedical industry.
