Seminar on Basic Circuit Design using MATLAB

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Selvam College of Technology (Autonomous), Namakkal, organized a Seminar on “Basic Circuit Design using MATLAB” on 19.09.2026. The seminar was conducted for the students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with the objective of providing them with practical knowledge of MATLAB-based circuit design, simulation, and analysis. The resource persons for the programme were Mr.C.Dheenadayanandan, Assistant Professor/EEE, and Mrs. M. Thirumagal, Assistant Professor/EEE, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal.

The sessions focused on the fundamentals of MATLAB, circuit modelling, basic electrical circuit design, simulation techniques, and analysis of circuit responses using MATLAB. The resource persons guided the students through practical examples and demonstrated the application of MATLAB tools for designing and simulating basic electrical circuits.

The seminar provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to simulation-based circuit design and helped them develop their technical skills in using MATLAB for electrical engineering applications. The programme served as an effective platform for enhancing the practical knowledge, simulation skills, and technical competencies of the students in MATLAB-based circuit design and analysis.
