Practical applications of soil and water analysis in Civil Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a co-curricular activity on “Practical Applications of Soil and Water Analysis in Civil Engineering” on 04.07.2026 for III-Year ECE students. The session handled by Mrs. R. Yazhini and Ms. S. Devaki, Assistant Professors, Department of Civil Engineering, Selvam College of Technology as the resource persons. The session introduced students to the significance of soil and water analysis in civil engineering projects, emphasizing the scientific methods used to evaluate soil properties and water quality. The resource persons explained laboratory testing procedures, interpretation of test results, and the importance of these analyses in construction, environmental protection, and infrastructure development. The interdisciplinary session enabled ECE students to understand how engineering concepts from different domains contribute to sustainable development.
