Smart Writing to Smart Researchers

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Civil Engineering organized a co-curricular activity on “Smart Writing to Smart Researchers” on 04.07.2026 for IV-year ECE students, and the session was handled by Dr. K. Vidyavathi, Dean – Academics (Senior), Selvam College of Technology. The session focused on developing effective technical writing and research documentation skills among students. The resource person explained the principles of academic writing, research paper structure, literature review preparation, citation practices, plagiarism awareness, and strategies for publishing quality research. The session also emphasized the importance of critical thinking, ethical research practices, and scientific communication. The programme strengthened students’ research writing abilities, enhanced their academic documentation skills, and motivated them to pursue quality research and scholarly publications, thereby preparing them for higher education and professional research careers.
