Smart Design through 3D Modelling

The Department of Civil Engineering, STORM Association, Selvam College of Technology, organized a No Book Day workshop on “Smart Design through 3D Modelling” on 10.10.2026 at 11:30 a.m. in the IT Support Lab. Mrs. G. Anusha, Head and Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering, and Dr. S. Gunasekar, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, served as the Resource Persons. The session aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals and practical applications of 3D modelling in modern building design. It focused on creating three-dimensional building models, visualizing architectural components, understanding spatial arrangements, and improving design accuracy. The hands-on learning experience enhanced students’ technical skills, digital design capabilities, and understanding of how 3D modelling supports efficient, innovative, and sustainable construction practices.
