Hands on Training in UI/UX Design for Modern Web and Mobile Applications

The Department of Information Technology organized a Hands-on Training on “UI/UX Design for Modern Web and Mobile Applications” for Information Technology students. The training introduced students to the fundamental concepts of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design. The resource person explained the UI/UX design process, including user research, wire framing, prototyping, and usability testing. Students learnt about design principles such as layout, color theory, typography, consistency, and visual hierarchy. The session provided practical exposure to design tools such as Figma and other modern UI/UX design platforms. Students gained hands-on experience in creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and responsive interface designs for web and mobile applications. The importance of user-centered design, accessibility, and responsive design was also discussed. Real-world examples demonstrated how effective UI/UX design enhances user engagement and improves application usability. The training encouraged students to develop creative design skills and explore career opportunities in UI/UX Design, Web Design, Mobile App Development, and Product Design. Nearly 60 students actively participated in the training, making it an informative and valuable hands-on learning experience.
