Workshop on Smart Home Automation using IoT

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the CETA Association organized an event titled Workshop on “Smart Home Automation using IoT” on 04.07.2026 for III Year CSE Students. The resource person Ms. D. Elanseela, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, explained the concepts and applications of the Internet of Things (IoT) in smart home automation. It highlighted the fundamentals of IoT architecture, sensor integration, wireless communication, and automation technologies used in modern smart homes. Participants gained knowledge of home automation, device interfacing, real-time monitoring, remote control, and energy-efficient smart solutions. The workshop enhanced the participants’ technical skills in IoT application development and increased their awareness of emerging trends and career opportunities in automation and connected technologies. Nearly 64 students actively participated in the event, making it a valuable academic initiative that enriched their knowledge and improved their industry readiness.
