Hands-On Medical Coding: Building Practical Skills for CPC Exam Success & Career Awareness

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, in association with the Biomedingers Association, organized a Clinical Excellence Series on “Hands-On Medical Coding: Building Practical Skills for CPC Exam Success & Career Awareness” on 26.09.2026 for III-year Biomedical Engineering students. Mr. V. Vigneshwaran, Medical Coder – Denial, Omega Healthcare, Trichy, served as the resource person and guided the students through the fundamentals of medical coding, coding practices, and the practical aspects of healthcare documentation and coding. The hands-on training enabled students to understand the importance of accurate medical coding, develop practical coding skills, and gain awareness of career opportunities in the medical coding and healthcare support services sector. The programme helped students strengthen their analytical, technical, and professional skills while providing valuable insights into CPC examination preparation and career development. A total of 49 students benefited from the training, gaining practical knowledge and enhanced awareness of career opportunities in medical coding and the healthcare industry.
