The inaugural function of the IEEE Student Branch took place on 08.10.2013

The inaugural function of the IEEE Student Branch took place on 08.10.2013. Selvan S.Ragavan IEEE Student Chair welcomed the gathering. Dr. R.Prabhu, Principal delivered the presidential address and highlighted the importance of IEEE in enhancing the technical knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering for all the UG and PG students. The SB was formally inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. A. Nagappan Principal, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Seeragapadi, Salem – 636 308. In his chief guest address, he explained the significance and benefits of IEEE membership and also emphasized the role and responsibilities of SB Counselor. He suggested to conduct various technical events such as workshop, seminars, conferences etc to make the students technically benefited. The Program ended with National Anthem.
