Hands-On Training on IT Industry Automation using Devops
The Department of Information Technology organized a Hands-on training on “IT Industry Automation Using DevOps” for III and IV-year Information Technology students. The seminar introduced students to the concepts of DevOps and IT industry automation. The resource person explained the DevOps lifecycle, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD). Students learned about automation tools such as Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. The session highlighted how DevOps improves collaboration between development and operations teams. The seminar also covered automated testing, deployment, and infrastructure management. Students gained knowledge of cloud-based DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The importance of monitoring, logging, and DevSecOps in modern software development was also discussed. Real-world industry use cases demonstrated how automation improves software quality and reduces deployment time. The session encouraged students to explore career opportunities in DevOps, Cloud Computing, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Nearly 80 students actively participated in the seminar, making it an informative and valuable learning experience.
