Seminar on From Cadavers to Computers: The Role of Biomedical Equipment in Modern Anatomy
The Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Biomedingers Association organized a seminar titled “From Cadavers to Computers: The Role of Biomedical Equipment in Modern Anatomy” on 01.08.2026 for II Year Biomedical Engineering students. The programme was conducted to provide students with an understanding of the transformation of anatomy education through advanced biomedical technologies. Mr. P. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, served as the resource person and delivered an informative session highlighting the integration of biomedical engineering concepts with modern anatomy education. Students gained valuable insights into the practical applications of biomedical equipment in medical education, clinical diagnosis, and healthcare research. The seminar enhanced the participants’ technical knowledge and strengthened their understanding of emerging technologies in anatomy and biomedical sciences. Nearly 61 students learned the role of modern biomedical equipment, such as digital imaging systems, 3D visualization tools, virtual dissection tables, and computer-assisted learning platforms, in enhancing anatomical studies.
