Hands on Training on Comparative phytochemical profiling of different plant parts (leaf, root, stem)

A hands-on training program on “Comparative Phytochemical Profiling of Different Plant Parts (Leaf, Root, Stem)” was conducted on 01.08.2026 at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Selvam College of Technology. The session was handled by Mr. M. Ruban and Mr. J. Rohith, III-year Biotechnology students, who served as the resource persons. They demonstrated the procedures for extracting and analysing phytochemicals from different plant parts. The programme provided practical exposure to qualitative phytochemical tests and comparative analysis techniques. II Year Biotechnology students actively participated and gained valuable laboratory skills. The session was highly beneficial in enhancing students’ understanding of plant-based bioactive compounds.
