Spark Association Inaugural Function Seminar on Recent Trends in Renewable Energy System
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized the Spark Association Inaugural Function, followed by a seminar on “Recent Trends in Renewable Energy Systems” for II, III, and IV Year EEE students on 18.07.2026. The resource person for the programme was Er. P. Kamalraj, Senior Technical Manager, Evolve Energy Group, Chennai. The programme was conducted to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the latest developments and emerging technologies in renewable energy systems. The seminar emphasized the growing importance of sustainable energy solutions and the integration of renewable energy sources into modern power systems. During the session, the resource person shared valuable insights into recent advancements in solar photovoltaic systems, wind energy technologies, battery energy storage systems, smart grids, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, hybrid renewable energy systems, and energy management solutions. He also discussed current industry trends, career opportunities, required technical competencies, and the practical challenges involved in implementing renewable energy projects. Real-time industrial case studies and practical applications were presented to enhance the participants’ understanding of renewable energy technologies. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, enabling students to clarify their doubts and gain valuable career guidance from the industry expert.
