Hands on Training on Petri Art

The Department of Biotechnology organized a technical event titled “Petri Art” on 11.07.2026 at Biotechnology Laboratory. The session was conducted by Ms. M. Ilakiya, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Selvam College of Technology. The programme aimed to encourage creativity while applying microbiological techniques in a practical setting. Students created artistic designs using microbial cultures on petri plates under controlled conditions. A total of 59 students actively participated and benefited from the programme. The session enhanced students’ creativity and understanding of aseptic laboratory practices.
