Seminar on Mini Project Development: From Idea to Prototype
The Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Biomedingers Association organized a seminar on “Mini Project Development: From Idea to Prototype” on 11.07.2026 for II-year Biomedical Engineering students. The seminar aimed to introduce students to the systematic process of transforming innovative ideas into functional prototypes through effective project planning, design, and implementation. The resource person, Dr.S.Seenivasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, explained the key stages of mini-project development, including idea generation, problem identification, literature survey, prototype design, component selection, testing, and documentation. The session motivated students to develop innovative biomedical engineering projects by emphasizing creativity, teamwork, and practical problem-solving skills. The seminar enhanced the participants’ understanding of project development methodologies and encouraged them to apply engineering concepts to address real-world healthcare challenges. Nearly 61 students actively participated in the seminar, making it an informative and inspiring session that fostered innovation and research-oriented thinking among aspiring biomedical engineers.
