Hostel Day Celebration 2026

Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, celebrated the Hostel Day on 13^th April 2026, Monday, in the esteemed presence of the Chairman, Dr.S.Babu, the Secretary, Dr. B. Kaviethra Nandhini, the Executive Director, Mr. M. Karthik, the Principal, Dr. S.Ramabalan, and the Vice Principal, Dr.A.Jagan.

Many sports competitions were organized for all the hostel students with male students participating in cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton and athletic relay, while female students competed in carrom, chess, throwball, tennikoit, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton and athletic relay. The winners and runners of all the events were appreciated and awarded with the prizes and certificates by the Dignitaries. Additionally, the chief wardens and residential wardens were acknowledged and awarded with gifts as a token of appreciation for their relentless commitment and exceptional support in administering the hostel community. Students with 100% attendance, outstanding academic results and no arrears were also recognized and awarded with certificates and prizes for their remarkable achievement.

The celebration continued with the cultural events, and all the hostellers enthusiastically participated in the events such as Dance, Singing, Mimicry, Stand-up Comedy etc. At the end of the ceremony, special & delicious dinner was provided to all the staff members and students. The Deans, Heads of all the Departments, Coordinators, ISDTP Trainers, IDC members, Staff members and the Students gave their gracious presence in the ceremony, making it a memorable occasion for all.
