Tamil New Year-Chithirai Kani Celebration – 2026

Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal celebrated the “Tamil New Year- 2026” on 13^th April 2026, Monday. The celebration began with a special Pooja, offering prayers and seeking the divine blessings of all Gods and Goddesses. The highlight of the event was the traditional “Chithirai Kani”, symbolizing hopes for prosperity and good fortune in the year ahead.

The auspicious rituals were conducted in the esteemed presence of the Chairman, Dr.S.Babu, the Secretary, Dr. B. Kaviethra Nandhini, the Executive Director, Mr. M. Karthik, the Principal, Dr. S.Ramabalan, and the Vice Principal, Dr.A.Jagan. The occasion was further graced by the presence of all the Deans, Heads of various Departments, Coordinators, ISDTP Trainers, IDC Members, Faculty Members and Students, whose participation made the celebration truly memorable.
