Seminar on Introduction to Biomedical Signals (ECG, EEG, EMG)
The Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Biomedingers Association organized an event titled “Seminar on Introduction to Biomedical Signals (ECG, EEG, EMG)” on 04.07.2026 for II-year Biomedical students. The seminar introduced students to the fundamentals of biomedical signals, their characteristics, and their applications in medical diagnosis and patient monitoring. The resource person Dr.P. Padmaloshani, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, explained the principles, signal acquisition methods, and clinical significance of ECG, EEG, and EMG through informative presentations. The session enhanced the participants’ understanding of biomedical instrumentation and signal analysis. A total of 61 students actively participated in the seminar and benefited by gaining practical knowledge and awareness of biomedical signal applications in the healthcare field.
