Anna University, Chennai Zone – 8 Athletics Championship – 2013 -2014
Anna University, Chennai Zone – 8 Athletics Competition was organized by Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal from 03.10.13 to 04.10.13 at college stadium. The Chairman Dr. P. Selvaraj was inaugurated the competition in the presence of The College Secretary Dr.Kavitra Nandini Babu, The Trustee Mrs Jayam Selvaraj,The Vice Chairman Dr. S.Babu and The Principal Dr.R.Prabhu on 03.10.13.
Nearly 650 Students were participated in this competition from 27 Colleges. Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal has won the Over all Championship title with 157 points. In Men section Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal Won the winner title with 106.5 points followed Kongu Nadu College of Engineering & Technology, Thottiam won runner title with 38.5 points and third place goes to Sona College of Technology with 32.5 points.
In Women Section Paavai Engineering College Selvam Won the winner title with 111 points followed with College of Technology, Namakkal 104 points and third place goes to Kongu Nadu College of Engineering & Technology, Thottiam.with 28.5 points.
Closing ceremony was held on 04.11.13 at 4.00pm. The College Secretary Dr.Kavitra Nandini Babu, delivered the presidential address and distributed the Medals, Certificates and Trophies to the winners in the presence of The Principal Dr.R.Prabhu, Mr A.S.Ramesh delivered the vote of thanks to all.
