Hands on Training on API Development using Java framework
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the CETA Association organized a Hands-on Training on “API Development using Java Framework” on 18.07.2026 for III-year CSE students. The resource person Mr.M.Sathishkumar, Dev Technology Solutions, Salem. It highlighted the importance of API development in modern web applications, the principles of REST architecture, and industry best practices for designing secure, scalable, and maintainable web services. The resource person guided participants through the process of building RESTful APIs using a Java framework, demonstrating project initialization, API endpoint development, request and response handling, database integration, CRUD implementation, exception handling, API testing, and documentation with widely used development tools. The hands-on training enhanced the participants’ backend development skills, strengthened their understanding of API design and implementation, and prepared them to develop enterprise-level web applications, thereby improving their readiness for internships, higher education, and career opportunities in Java backend development.
