Sigma Association Inauguration and A National-Level Management Fest – ARTHASHASTRA 2K26

The Department of Management Studies, Selvam College of Technology (Autonomous), Namakkal, successfully organized the grand inauguration of “Arthashastra 2K26” and the SIGMA Association on 26 September 2026, creating an inspiring platform for young aspiring managers to showcase their talents, develop leadership qualities, and strengthen their managerial competencies.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr. S. Babu, Chairman, Selvam Educational Institutions, and Managing Director, Selvam Group of Companies. The esteemed presence of Dr. B. Kaviethra Nandhini, Secretary, and Mr. M. Karthik, Executive Director, added distinction to the occasion. They felicitated the gathering and encouraged the students to pursue excellence through continuous learning, innovation, and professional development.

Dr. S. Ramabalan, Principal, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of developing leadership capabilities, professional values, communication skills, and industry readiness among budding management professionals.

Dr. A. Jayaseelan, Professor-cum-Placement Officer, delivered the welcome address and warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and participating students. Mrs. K. Divya, HoD, MBA, introduced the newly appointed SIGMA Association office bearers, formally marking the beginning of the Association’s activities for the academic year.

The programme was graced by the distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Anbuselvan Subramanian, Director & CEO, Aerix Nova Technologies, Namakkal, who delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address to the students.

In his insightful address, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of “Knowing Your Value” and recognizing one’s own strengths, capabilities, and potential. He encouraged students to understand that their knowledge, skills, attitude, and character are valuable assets that must be continuously developed. He also stressed the importance of well-being as an essential asset for personal and professional success, reminding students that a successful career should be built on a healthy balance of physical, mental, and professional well-being.

He further motivated the students to “Do Your Work with Commitment and Excellence”, emphasizing that sincere effort, discipline, responsibility, and consistency are the foundations of long-term success. His practical insights inspired the budding managers to believe in themselves, take ownership of their responsibilities, and approach every opportunity with confidence and dedication.

The programme also provided a vibrant platform for budding managers from various colleges to demonstrate their talents, creativity, managerial skills, and competitive spirit through various activities. The students enthusiastically participated and showcased their abilities, making the event an engaging and memorable experience.

As a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, the outstanding performers were honoured with Appreciation Certificates and Cash Prizes. The recognition celebrated not only their achievements but also their confidence, creativity, teamwork, leadership, and willingness to step beyond their comfort zones.
