Alumni talk on “Unity Development in AR/VR simulation”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Selvam College of Technology organized an Alumni talk Session on “Unity Development in AR/VR simulation” on 22.02.2025, Saturday through virtual mode. Dr.P.Selvaraj, Chairman of Selvam Educational Institutions, presided over the function in the august presence of Dr.B.Kaviethra Nandhini, Secretary and Mr.M.Karthik, Executive Director. Dr.A.Jegan, Principal, Selvam College of Technology addressed the students. Dr.G.Selvaraj, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, welcomed the gathering.
The Prominent alumnus of Mechanical Department Er.K.Raju, Unity Developer, Zmotion Autonomous Systems, Bangalore, began with an overview of Unity, one of the most popular game development engines used for creating AR/VR experiences. He explained how Unity’s versatile platform is used to build immersive simulations for industries like gaming, education, healthcare, and more. The speaker highlighted real-world applications of AR/VR technology, including training simulations, virtual tours, and interactive learning modules. He also adviced the students on building a career in AR/VR development, including the importance of continuous learning, networking, and staying updated with industry trends. They also discussed potential career paths and opportunities for aspiring developers. The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where the participants had an opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on topics ranging from technical challenges to career advice. Everyone actively participated in the webinar and enhanced their skills.
