Faculty Development Programme on IIoT, AR/VR, and Drone Technology.

The Departments of AI&DS, CSE, IT, ECE, and Mechanical Engineering of Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal participated in a Three-Day Short Term Training Programme conducted at SASTRA University from 23rd February to 25th February, 2026.

The initiative was strongly supported and encouraged by the management of Selvam Group of Institutions, under the guidance of Dr. S. Babu, Chairman & Managing Director, Dr. B. Kaviethra Nandhini, Secretary, Mr. M. Karthik, Executive Director, and Dr. S. Ramabalan, Principal, whose continuous encouragement promotes faculty development and technological advancement.

The programme focused on emerging technologies such as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Drone Technology. The sessions emphasized practical applications, current industry trends, and hands-on exposure to advanced technological tools.

The participating faculty members enhanced their technical competencies and gained practical insights into modern technological advancements, thereby strengthening their teaching and research capabilities. This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to continuous professional development and technological excellence.
