Webinar on Generative AI: ChatGPT, Copilot & the Future of Coding
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS), Selvam College of Technology, successfully organized a Webinar on “Generative AI: ChatGPT, Copilot & the Future of Coding.”
The program was conducted on 10 January 2026, from 01:30 PM to 04:00 PM, at the ISDTP Seminar Hall. The session was organized under the initiatives of IQAC and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
The webinar was exclusively designed for II and III year students of CSE, IT, and AI&DS, with the objective of enhancing their awareness of emerging Generative AI technologies and their impact on modern software development.
The session was handled by Ms. Prathoshini T, Technical Trainer, Yellowmatics.ai, Erode, who delivered an insightful talk on the practical use of ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and AI-assisted coding practices. The resource person highlighted real-time industry applications, productivity improvements, and future trends in AI-driven programming.
The webinar was highly interactive and provided students with valuable exposure to current AI tools shaping the future of coding and software engineering.
