The Evaluation of Electrical Power System
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, organized a seminar on “The Evaluation of Electrical Power System” on 28.02.2026 (FN Session, Saturday) for the First Year and Second Year EEE students. The resource person for the session was Er. S. Sabarinathan, Electrical Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), Earipalayam Substation, Coimbatore. He elaborated on the fundamentals of electrical power systems and provided detailed insights into the systematic analysis and performance evaluation of modern power networks to ensure reliability, stability, efficiency, and safety. He emphasized the growing importance of evaluating electrical power systems in today’s rapidly evolving energy landscape, where increasing electricity demand, renewable energy integration, and smart grid technologies are transforming conventional grid operations. The seminar was highly informative and interactive, enabling students to gain practical exposure to real-world power system operations and evaluation methodologies adopted in substations and utility sectors. Nearly 120 students actively participated and benefited from the session.
