One Day Workshop on “Smart Connections: Exploring the Internet of Things”

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Spark Association, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal organized One Day Workshop on “Smart Connections: Exploring the Internet of Things” on 27.09.2025, Saturday in the Google Classroom. Dr.S.Babu, Chairman of Selvam Educational Institutions, presided over the function. The function was conducted in the august presence of Dr.B.Kaviethra Nandhini, Secretary of Selvam Educational Institutions and Mr.M.Karthik, Executive Director, Selvam College of Technology.

Dr.S.Ramabalan, Principal addressed the students. Mr.M.Ravichandran, Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, welcomed the gathering. The Resource Person, Er.R.Lakshmanan, Technical Trainer, Dhronav Info Tech, Namakkal, highlighted the IoT ecosystem, Communication protocols, Hands-on demonstrations on sensor data acquisition and wireless communication using microcontrollers, Cloud integration and real-time monitoring using IoT dashboards and Applications of IoT in smart homes, industry automation, transportation, etc., The students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering department had a productive and enriching experience during the session. Everyone actively participated in the Hands-on Session and enhanced their skills. The workshop aimed to provide students with insights into the emerging field of the Internet of Things (IoT), its applications, and its impact on future technologies.
