One Day Workshop on “Industrial Electrical IoT; Designing Intelligent Control and Protection Systems and Hands on training Industrial Electrical IoT”

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, organized a One Day Workshop on “Industrial Electrical IoT: Designing Intelligent Control and Protection Systems and Hands-on Training in Industrial Electrical IoT” on 31.01.2026 (Saturday) for EEE students. The Resource Person, Mr. P. Thangapandi, Embedded Developer, Emglitz Technologies, Coimbatore, elaborated on the fundamentals of Industrial Electrical IoT, emphasizing the integration of intelligent sensors, real-time data acquisition systems, and smart communication networks in industrial environments. He explained how these technologies are transforming conventional electrical control and protection systems into intelligent, adaptive, efficient, and self-monitoring solutions. The session covered key aspects such as intelligent control architectures, IoT-enabled protection schemes, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and real-time fault detection in industrial electrical systems. Practical industrial case studies were discussed to help participants understand real-world applications of IoT in power systems, manufacturing units, and automation industries. Nearly 120 students benefited.
