One credit course on “Autodesk Fusion 360”

The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully conducted a One Credit Course on “Autodesk Fusion 360” at the CAD Laboratory under the ICTACT initiative. The program introduced students to industry-standard, cloud-based design tools, covering 3D modeling, simulation, and manufacturing workflows. The course sessions were handled by Mr. M. Anbalagan and Dr. R. Kandasamy, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SCT, who explained the key features of Fusion 360, including 3D modeling, parametric design, simulation, rendering, and manufacturing applications. The training emphasized industry relevance, design innovation, and career opportunities associated with Autodesk Fusion 360, helping students bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements. A total of 40 students benefited from the course.
