Medical Camp

The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized an Outreach Programme – “Medical Camp” at Mullampatti Salai, Namakkal, on 07.02.2026, aligned with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being. The camp aimed to provide basic healthcare services to the rural community and to create awareness about preventive healthcare practices. During the programme, free medical check-ups, including blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose testing, BMI assessment, and general health screening, were conducted under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals. Basic medications were distributed, and health education sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications were delivered to the beneficiaries. The initiative enhanced students’ practical exposure, social responsibility, and communication skills while addressing the healthcare needs of the local population. The outreach programme was well appreciated by the public and created a positive impact on the community’s health. Nearly 65 students actively participated, making the event both service-oriented and educationally enriching.
