The Department of Biotechnology organized a seminar on “Insights of GATE in Life Sciences Series-1” on 10.01.2026. The programme aimed to guide students in understanding the importance of the GATE examination in Life Sciences. The session was handled by Mr. K. Kirubhakaran and Ms. K. Srimathi, Assistant Professors, Department of Biotechnology, Selvam College of Technology. The resource persons explained the GATE syllabus, exam pattern, and marking scheme in detail for the subjects Cell biology and Microbiology subjects. They also shared effective preparation strategies and time management tips. Students actively interacted and clarified their doubts during the session. The seminar was highly informative and beneficial for aspiring GATE candidates.
