Hands-On Training on IoT-Based Smart Poultry Environment Monitoring Held at Selvam College of Technology
Selvam College of Technology, the Department of Computer Science andEngineering, successfully organized a hands-on training program on “IoT-Based Project for Smart Poultry Environment Monitoring Application”. The program was conducted to enhance students’ practical knowledge and skills in Internet of Things (IoT) applications related to smart agriculture and poultry farming.
The training session was handled by the resource person, Ms. D. Elansheela,Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, Selvam College of Technology, who provided in-depth technical guidance and practical demonstrations who guided the students through the complete development process of an IoT-based smart poultry monitoring system. The session focused on monitoring essential environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, gas levels, and light intensity using sensors and microcontrollers.
During the hands-on session, students actively participated in sensor interfacing, microcontroller programming, and cloud-based data monitoring. The training emphasized real-time data collection and remote monitoring using IoT platforms, highlighting how smart technologies can improve productivity and sustainable farm management.
The program was highly informative and beneficial, offering students valuable exposure to real-world IoT-based project development and 60 participants get benefited from this event.
