Hands-on Training on Drone Design, Assembly, Applications & Government Opportunities

 The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, organized a Hands-on Training on Drone Design, Assembly, Applications & Government Opportunities on 07.02.2026 (Saturday) for II Year EEE and Mechanical Engineering students. The resource persons, Dr. C. Thiruvasagam, IIC Director, and Mr. R. Thiyagarajan, Drone Engineer, Flytutor Technologies, Namakkal, highlighted the fundamentals of drone components, sensors, and propulsion systems. The training provided live hands-on experience in drone design, assembly, and basic configuration, along with exposure to real-time applications of drones in agriculture, surveillance, mapping, and inspection. The session also covered an overview of DGCA guidelines, drone regulations, and certification procedures, as well as insights into government initiatives and career opportunities in the drone sector. Nearly 120 students actively participated and benefited from the training.
