Founder’s Memorial Trophy Tournament 2026
The Founder’s Memorial Trophy Tournament 2026 was successfully conducted at Selvam College of Technology (Autonomous), Namakkal, from April 2nd to 4th, 2026.
The event was presided over by Dr. S. Babu, Chairman of Selvam Educational Institutions. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. B. Kavithra Nandhini, Secretary, and Mr. M. Karthik, Executive Director.
The occasion was further graced by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. S. Ramabalan, Principal, Selvam College of Technology; Dr. A. Jegan, Vice Principal, Selvam College of Technology; Dr. N. Rajavel, Principal, Selvamm Arts and Science College; Dr. K. Senthilkumar, Principal, Selvam College of Physical Education; and Dr. S. Santhini Devi, Principal, Shree Amirtha College of Education, along with faculty members of Selvam Educational Institutions.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr. A. S. Ramesh, Physical Director, Selvam College of Technology.
More than 171 participants, such as both men and women teams from all over Tamil Nadu, participated enthusiastically, making the event a grand success. Competitions were conducted in various sports such as Football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, and Cricket.
Cash prizes of ₹4,000, ₹3,000, ₹2,000, and ₹1,000 were awarded to the teams securing the first four places respectively. Winners and runners were also honored with certificates and trophies, and participation certificates were distributed to all participants.
The event was efficiently organized by the organizing committee comprising Mr. A. S. Ramesh (Physical Director), Dr. A. Jayaseelan (Placement Officer), Mrs. R. Vanitha (Admission Officer), and Mrs. R. Babysalini (HoD – Chemistry), ensuring the grand success of the tournament.
The event concluded on a successful note with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. S. Senthilkumar, Principal, Selvam College of Physical Education.
The tournament served as an excellent platform for students and youth to showcase their sporting talents while promoting team spirit and healthy competition.
