Digital India: “Awareness on Online Services”

The Departments of AIDS, CSE, Civil, IT, and EEE of Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, jointly organized “Digital India: Awareness on Online Services” on 13.09.2025 (Saturday) in the EEE Seminar Hall.

The function was presided over by Dr. S. Babu, Chairman, Selvam Educational Institutions, in the august presence of Dr. B. Kaviethra Nandhini, Secretary, Selvam Educational Institutions, and Mr. M. Karthik, Executive Director, Selvam College of Technology.

Dr. S. Ramabalan, Principal, delivered the principal address and encouraging students to stay updated with digital initiatives for their personal and professional growth. Mrs.G.Anusha, Head, Department of Civil Engineering, welcomed the gathering.

The program was graced by Mrs. M. Umamaheshwari, Ananda Online Services, Namakkal, who served as the Chief Guest and resource person. In her address, she explained the scope and benefits of various online government and citizen services, such as digital identity, online payments, e-governance applications, online certificates, and digital platforms for daily needs. She also highlighted the importance of cybersecurity, digital literacy, and safe online practices in effectively utilizing these services.

The session was informative and impactful, providing students with valuable insights into the opportunities and facilities offered through Digital India initiatives. The participants actively interacted with the resource person and gained practical awareness on how to utilize online services efficiently.
