Design Thinking for Hackathons

The Department of Biotechnology organized the seminar on the topic of “Design Thinking for Hackathons” on 10.01.26. The resource person, Dr.M.Vinoth, ASP& Research Associate, Department of EEE, Selvam College of Technology. The resource person emphasized Design Thinking is a problem-solving approach that focuses on understanding user needs, generating innovative ideas, and developing effective solutions. In hackathons, this methodology helps participants empathize with users, clearly define problems, brainstorm creative solutions, and rapidly prototype and test ideas. By following the design thinking process, teams can build user-centric, practical, and impactful solutions within limited time. It encourages collaboration, creativity, and innovation among participants.
