Build a Career with Building Information Modelling

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, jointly organized a program on “Build a Career with Building Information Modelling” on 28.02.2026 (FN Session, Saturday) for the Third Year EEE and Mechanical Engineering students. The resource person for the session was Mr. Rajkumar Nallusamy, BIM Manager, BIM Modeller Consulting Services. He provided an in-depth overview of Building Information Modelling (BIM), highlighting its significance in the modern construction and infrastructure industry. The session also focused on career opportunities in BIM for engineering graduates, essential technical skills, industry-relevant software tools, certification pathways, and emerging trends in digital construction technologies. The program was highly informative and interactive, encouraging students to explore career prospects in the rapidly growing BIM domain. The participants actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable knowledge about industry expectations and professional growth opportunities in Building Information Modelling. Nearly 120 students actively participated and benefited from the session.
