Six-Day AICTE-ATAL FDP The Role of Organic Semiconductors in Electric Vehicles” Held at Selvam College of Technology
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Selvam College of Technology, Namakkal, successfully organized a six-day AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Greener, Smarter, Faster: The Role of Organic Semiconductors in Electric Vehicles.” from 13th to 18th October 2025.
The programme aimed to enhance the knowledge and research capabilities of faculty members and researchers in the emerging field of organic semiconductor technology and its applications in electric mobility. A total of 161 participants from various institutions across the country actively took part in the FDP, gaining valuable insights from eminent academicians, scientists, and industry experts.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. S. Babu, Chairman of Selvam Educational Institutions, who presided over the function. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sustainable technologies and innovation-driven education for achieving India’s green mobility goals.
The event was conducted in the esteemed presence of Dr. B. Kaviethra Nandhini, Secretary of Selvam Educational Institutions; Mr. M. Karthik, Executive Director; and Dr. S. Ramabalan, Principal of Selvam College of Technology, who highlighted the institution’s commitment to promoting advanced research and interdisciplinary learning.
Dr. K. Vidyavathi, Head of the Department of ECE, delivered the welcome address and expressed gratitude to AICTE for their continuous support in fostering faculty development through ATAL initiatives.
Throughout the six days, participants engaged in interactive sessions, expert lectures, and hands-on discussions on topics such as sustainable materials, organic electronics, energy-efficient devices, and the future of electric vehicles.
The FDP concluded with positive feedback from the participants, who appreciated the institution’s efforts in providing a vibrant academic platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration in emerging technologies.
